Sunday Chimes

Sunday Chimes

This past month has brought many natural disasters to the US and our neighbors, and we continue to hold in prayer all those suffering as a result of Hurricanes Harvey, Irma, and Maria; the earthquakes in Mexico, and fire in the western United States. You can put your prayers into action through the work of Episcopal Relief and Development www.episcopalrelief.org, which is on the ground in the US, and the Caribbean for hurricane relief, and working with partners in Mexico after the earthquake, for emergency assistance, recovery and rebuilding.

Nursery Care. There will be nursery care on Sunday for infants to two-year-olds during the 9:00 a.m. service.  Volunteers are needed to help in the nursery! Sign up on the bulletin board in the old kitchen.

The Good Shepherd's Club will be meeting on Sunday. Parents, please pick up your 2nd to 5th graders in the Guild Room at the end of the program.

Fall 2017 - Welcoming Our Neighbors (WON) continues Sunday, September 24 from 1pm-3pm in the Parish Hall. Bring your children to play with recent immigrant children and help them get acquainted with our community. Trinity has invited 3 refugee families to these events and we need Trinity families to come and join in the fun. The parents don't speak English, but the children do, and the language of play ball and caring for others is universal. And there is always Google Translate to help with communication. We  will continue to meet with the families one Sunday afternoon a month.  To sign up, please go to www.trinitymooorestown.org and click on Upcoming Events for the Sign-up Genius link. Please contact Sarah Senno at sennofamily@gmail.com or 609-678-8992 with any questions.

Did you ever consider how you might help the poor of the community? There is often a "nudge" within us to reach out to others. The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is a ministry of outreach that will  possibly be coming to Moorestown in the future. This locally based unit will be reaching out to those who struggle in poverty in this area. This ministry will work collaboratively with all outreach organizations within the community.  So we invite you to prayerfully consider becoming part of this ministry. There will be a special meeting to learn more at The Evergreens, 309 Bridgeboro Road, Moorestown, September 30, 2017 at 10AM in Lamont Hall. If you are interested in volunteering your time and talents to this ministry please join us for this meeting, or contact Deacon Leslie.

“No matter where you're from, we're glad you're our neighbor.” Perhaps one of these signs greeted you as you came into church this morning. Trinity is honoring the great commandment to love our neighbors as ourselves (Mark 12:29-31), with these signs in different languages. If you'd like a sign for your own lawn, they are available in the church office for a donation of any amount (our cost is $10.00). Donations over the cost of the signs will go to Trinity's Outreach Commission.

Dates are available for altar flowers.  If you would like to give flowers in memory of a loved one or in thanksgiving for one of life's many blessings, please call the church office at 856-235-0811 or email gtrost@trinitymoorestown.org.  We ask for a donation of $35.00 to cover the cost of flower arrangements.

Coffee Hour: Thank you to everyone who has helped host coffee hour.  Please sign up to host a coffee hour on Sunday mornings at 10:15 a.m.  There is a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board in the old kitchen.
